Cap at first 10-20 mm tall x 5-10 mm broad, ovoid, white and covered with white to grayish brown fluffy granules, expanding to obtusely conical or bell-shaped in age, 10-30 mm broad, striate, gray with clay-colored to pinkish brown veil granules remaining on the center. Gills free, crowded, narrow, white becoming black and deliquescent. Stem 50-130 x 2-5 mm, cylindrical or enlarged downward, fragile, white, covered with white to clay-colored fluffy granules. Spore deposit black. Edibility: unknown.
