Unexpanded Fruting Body ovoid, 25-35 mm broad, spiny, gray to grayish brown. Expanded Fruting Body 70-140 mm tall. Head conical with an apical hole surrounded by a white ring, surface netted and covered by an olive brown, gelatinous spore mass (gleba). Stem 8-20 mm broad, cylindrical or narrowed upward, netted and perforate, white with cinnabar-orange tones. Indusium attached at base of Cap, well-developed and pendulous, bright orangish pink. Volva gray to grayish brown. Odor strongly fetid. Spores olive brown. Edibility: edible when young and unexpanded.
