Unexpanded Fruting Body ovoid, 25-35 mm broad, spiny, white to pale gray. Expanded Fruting Body 100-120 mm tall. Head broadly conical or minaret-shaped with a small apical hole; surface yellow, netted and covered by an olive brown, gelatinous spore mass (gleba). Stem 20-30 mm broad, cylindrical or narrowed upward, netted and perforate, white to yellowish white. Indusium attached at base of Cap, short and pendulous, yellowish orange. Volva spiny, white to pale gray. Odor strongly spermatic. Spores olive brown. Edibility: reported to be poisonous.
