Cap 50-100 mm broad, convex becoming plane- depressed, glabrous, dry, reddish brown to cinnamon brown; flesh thick, white; taste bitter. Gillss adnate, close, narrow, white. Stem 50-90 x 10-20 mm, cylindrical to clavate, dry, fibrillose, white; arising from a mat of copious white mycelium that binds the substrate. Spore Deposit white. Edibility: inedible.
