Fruiting Bodies initially egg-shaped, 15-30 x 10-20 mm, white, base attached to a white, cordlike rhizomorph. Stem 70-100 x 10-15 mm, hollow, upper half wrinkled, tapered to a narrow apex, reddish orange to deep red; lower half densely pitted, cylindrical, white. Gleba covering the upper red portion, gelatinous, olive green. Volva sacklike, white. Odor strongly fetid. Spores olive green. Edibility: unknown.
