Peridium 10-30 mm broad x 10-15 mm tall, ovoid, of two distinct layers: exoperidium membranous, fragile, dingy white, adhering sand and mostly sloughing off, remaining as a cup of sandy debris at the base of the spore sac; endoperidium tough, glabrous, white, with a single, central, apical elevated pore through which the Spores are released. Gleba powdery, brown. Stem 20-100 x 3-7 mm, cylindrical with a basal bulb, tough and woody, fibrous, cinnamon brown. Spores brown. Edibility: unknown.
